Rider Profiles:
1) Enthusiast who wants to ride 60-100+km daily including challenging climbs (39x27 or triple minimum gearing recommended)
2) New road rider who wants to improve their skills on 20-60km rides on flatter terrain

Overview:
Take advantage of your Summer season's fitness and ride in some of the most enjoyable cycling terrain that you could imagine. Also home of our 7-Eleven Team training camps in the '80's where we explored this amazing place for the first time! From beautiful, undulating rides along Lake Como to the legendary routes of the Giro d'Italia and Giro di Lombardia, you are guaranteed to test yourself to your heart's content. We'll visit the patron saint of cycling, Madonna del Ghisallo and finish off the trip with an entry into the Gran Fondo Casartelli, a mass-start citizen's event where you will have the choice of 3 different ride lengths (54, 75 or 114km).

Excellent opportunities for non-cycling spouses to visit the sites (art, museums, boat tours, day trip to Milan), sun tanning time and/or do some great shopping!

Highlights:

Arrival into Milan airport on Monday, July 14 and we'll transfer you to our hotel, where we'll spend our 7-night stay. During this time we are planning to:

• Ride as much or as little as you would like!

• Group rides in the nearby mountains or along the lake in the heart of the wine and olive growing region

• Cycling improvement tips from Alex Stieda and our professional guides.

• 3 group dinners at our hotel including arrival and departure dinners

• Time to take a 'rest' day, relax and/or take a 1 hour train ride into Milan for a day trip

• Great for non-cycling spouses to come along to relax and view the sights

• Entry into the Gran Fondo Casartelli, on Sunday, July 20, a mass start, citizen’s event. 54km profile, 75 km profile ,114km profile

Departure from Milan on Monday, July 21 or continue your vacation on your own.
